Located just 30 miles north of San Francisco and a short drive from wine country, Novato provides easy access to some of Northern California’s top destinations, while also offering so much on it’s own: mountain biking, fishing, hiking, mushroom foraging, museums, to name a few. No wonder it’s on multiple lists of the best places to live in the country!

Despite some hurdles, the pandemic couldn’t stop us from opening our fourth Active Culture location in Novato in late October, 2021. We joined the lively Pacheco Plaza community and are so excited to have been embraced as a much-needed complement to the local culinary scene.

Here we were able to expand our kitchen and smoothie bar space, so we can offer our full range of menu items and reduce the time you wait! Pick up a quick meal before exploring all Marin County has to offer or dine in and enjoy an al fresco experience, thanks to our glass garage door. Sit on our patio and pair a glass of local wine or draft beer with one of our hearty bowls or crisp and nourishing salads.

Rest assured your kiddos will be entertained by the puzzles, games, and coloring books in our Kids’ Corner. Treat them with some soft serve in an organic cake cone after your meal. Come by and see us…we are so excited about fueling the families and visitors of Novato!

”I adore Active Culture! Finally – a casual restaurant that makes REAL food. Everything here is made in-house, and you can taste it. My favorites are the kale salad, the BBQ Beet Burger and the Bay Bowl. The Beet Burger is so delicious – they make their own veggie burger which is delicious, and the bbq sauce is made with beets – and it’s incredible. Their yogurt and shakes are also amazing, my favorite is the date shake. We are so lucky to have Active Culture in Novato – a true gem. Everyone there is nice, and I love the outdoor seating.
